We believe in the spreadsheet. Despite advancements in data tools and AI, the spreadsheet remains the fastest and most intuitive way to interact with and analyze data. While dataset sizes have grown, the capabilities of spreadsheets have not. Spreadsheet users piece together elaborate work-arounds to accommodate limitations of existing spreadsheets, often to the detriment of data security and governance initiatives. We built Row Zero to enable anyone with spreadsheet skills to be immediately successful working with big data, within the framework of a modern data security and governance program.

We are a team of principal and senior engineers from AWS, Tableau, and Airtable with experiences uniquely suited to development of the world’s fastest spreadsheet. At AWS we wrote the S3 file system, at Tableau we led identification and execution of performance enhancements, and at Airtable we built the developer platform. We are hyper-focused on performance and security, obsessing over every function, filter, and data source connection. We’ve applied advancements in cloud computing and data analytics techniques and created a spreadsheet with the performance, connectivity, and security to make it a first-class tool in every organization.
