Andrew Daniels is Group CIO at Betfred, leading technology across the Group’s operations in the UK, Gibraltar and South Africa. An entrepreneur and technologist, Andrew has founded and successfully sold two technology businesses: digital consultancy Degree 53 and betting platform provider Sharp Gaming, where he served as CEO before its acquisition by Betfred.

Now responsible for technology across one of the UK’s largest betting and gaming businesses, Andrew is focused on how technology can solve real business problems and deliver measurable value. He is currently exploring and implementing AI across the Group, with a particular interest in moving beyond experimentation and productivity gains to understanding where AI can deliver genuine, measurable return on investment.
