Andrew joined the NHS in 1990 as an Information Analyst working at Northern Regional Health Authority. He has gone on to accumulate 35 years experience of data and analysis in both health and local authority settings.

He led on the AnalystX Observatory State of the Nation Survey 2023, helping build a clearer picture of the data workforce in health and social care.

Passionate about promoting lifelong learning in analytics, he now leads on the workstream aligning learning to the competencies within the National Competency Framework for data professionals.
