MEETUP: London Snowflake User Group (LSUG) | A Snowflake CoE playbook for agentic AI & Cortex Code
Wednesday 22nd April 2026
About
The London Snowflake User Group (LSUG) gets together to share best practices and network with other Snowflake users and data enthusiasts in the local area. Whether you are just starting out with Snowflake, or are a veteran user, join our group. We’re always interested in hearing stories of how to use Snowflake to do more with your data, or solve mission-critical business data issues.
Talk 1: Jean Mandarin, Snowflake CoE Lead @ Kubrick Group
From Data Platform to Decision Engine: A Snowflake CoE playbook for agentic AI
Snowflake has moved well beyond cloud data warehousing. With Cortex Agents, Snowflake Intelligence, Openflow, managed MCP servers, and growing support for open table formats and interoperable architectures, the CoE remit has changed. This session shares how a modern Snowflake CoE can help enterprise teams move from platform ownership to AI product delivery, without losing control of governance, security, or cost. Expect practical guidance on operating models, reference architectures, guardrails, and the patterns that let federated teams build faster on Snowflake.
Talk 2: Snowflake Solutions Engineer, Jenny Zhou
Join us for a 30 mins lighting talk on Snowflake AI coding agent, Cortex Code and how it can help you build and evolve data pipelines, applications, and ML workloads faster on Snowflake.
We’ll show how Cortex Code can accelerate secure, production‑grade development across your use cases — from transforming data pipelines and working with Dynamic Tables, to creating AI agents with Cortex Agents/Snowflake Intelligence, to simply writing better SQL and Python directly in your worksheets and IDEs.
We’ ll cover how to use Cortex Code directly in Snowsight, via the Snowflake CLI, and in popular IDEs like VS Code and Cursor, walk through recommended best practices, and then bring it all together with an end‑to‑end example using Cortex Code to build sth exciting from scratch. No spoiler about what we are going to build – join us to discover!
