AI is scaling at extraordinary speed, but skills are struggling to keep up. This panel explores the growing gap between AI’s promise and the reality facing businesses, educators, and workers across the UK.

Drawing on themes from a recent documentary “The AI Skills Paradox”, our panel will discuss why demand for AI skills has surged, yet many organisations invest little in training; why leaders see literacy (not job loss) as the real risk, and how automation of junior tasks is reshaping career pathways, organisational design, and culture.

The conversation will move beyond technical capability to examine responsibility, human judgement, and the role of data literacy in driving inclusive growth. This session challenges attendees to ask: how do we turn AI adoption into real-world impact without widening the skills divide?
