Neil is the Principal Data Architect for the National Data Library, having previously worked in the utilities and geospatial sector for over 25 years, creating and delivering solutions focused on improving the accuracy and quality of the data held about buried assets.
Neil was Product Owner for the National Underground Asset Register (NUAR) programme which delivered a comprehensive and secure data sharing platform for buried assets. As Product Owner, Neil provided technical leadership, was responsible for the security of the programme and the service, and led the development of a UK harmonised data model. He is co-editor of the international MUDDI standard published by Open Geospatial Consortium.
