Mark Bew is a recognised international authority on digital transformation, information management, and artificial intelligence in the built environment. With more than two decades at the forefront of Building Information Modelling and data driven infrastructure delivery, Mark has consistently operated at the intersection of policy, technology and large-scale industry change.

He is widely known for his leadership of the UK Government BIM Task Group and the creation of Digital Built Britain, shaping the global direction of BIM, digital twins and interoperable asset data. His work has always focused on turning complex data into actionable intelligence that improves outcomes across design, delivery and operations.

Mark is currently CEO of Indefatigable Ventures and a founder of newBIM, an AI-native platform redefining how built-environment data is created, governed and exploited. newBIM moves beyond traditional BIM and Common Data Environments by embedding AI agents directly into planning, design, compliance and operational workflows, enabling faster decisions, better assurance and measurable performance gains.

Alongside his industry roles, Mark is an Honorary Research Professor at the University of Salford, where his research explores AI, cognition and data driven decision making in complex systems. He regularly advises governments, infrastructure owners and investors on the strategic deployment of technology, AI and advanced data platforms.
